Our timber and concrete raised bed sets a new standard for stability and durability in the garden. Inspired by our successful compost bin system, weather-resistant, steel-reinforced concrete posts give the raised bed lasting stability. When developing it, we deliberately avoided wood screws – because they work loose over time. Instead, the timber boards are clamped between the concrete posts with threaded rods, so the raised bed stays solid for many years. We also love the look: the simplicity of architectural concrete paired with the natural beauty of timber. Our timber and concrete raised bed is the ideal choice for keen gardeners who value natural materials, sustainability and longevity.
Tip: alongside our raised beds with concrete posts, we also offer a timber raised bed made from solid larch boards. It is also fully configurable and very durable – in the end, it simply comes down to personal taste.
We can produce your raised bed in custom sizes. For stability reasons, however, the length or width should not exceed 140 cm. We also offer a bespoke corner solution – ideal for planting and separating vegetables and herbs, for example.
Our concrete raised beds can be ordered with any number of bays. Our special system lets you connect as many bays as you like without compromising stability.
The timber we use for our raised beds comes from regional, sustainably managed forests in the Black Forest. To protect both the environment and your plants from harmful substances, we don't use wood preservatives. In our experience, a dimpled membrane keeps the timber well ventilated so that any moisture can dry out again – which is essential for a long service life. We also work sustainably in production, recycling timber offcuts into made-to-measure pallets to minimise packaging waste.
For our timber and concrete raised bed, we offer optional accessories such as dimpled membranes, rodent mesh and concrete base slabs to suit your individual needs. Our aim, however, is to give you a perfectly functioning raised bed at an unbeatable price, with no accessories required.
