As well as single-bay compost bins, we also offer multi-bay systems. These are not only more cost-effective but also look more attractive and are more stable. Multi-bay systems are easy to extend and can be ordered with any number of bays and with bays of different lengths.
A single-bay compost bin can be converted into a multi-bay system at any time with an extension kit, and all components of the original compost bin can be reused. Extension kits cannot be ordered via the website; please contact us directly.
We recommend placing paving slabs under the concrete posts. This keeps the compost bin standing straight, as the ground will not settle as much. You are welcome to order the slabs from us as an accessory, or you can buy them a little more cheaply from a DIY store. The concrete base slabs for the compost bin measure 30 x 30 cm. On request, we can also supply a galvanised wire base mesh. We particularly recommend this if you have problems with mice in your garden, as the mesh makes it harder for voles to get into the compost bin.
